MC Hammer Declares Analyticstime

I saw that some of my other brethren in the data analytics game broke out their parachute pants and shuffled MC Hammer into their blog lineup this weekend. And, of course, all of them had to make some snarky Hammer-based quip on how no one can touch his understanding of analytics or that Hammer was too legit to quit.

On the other hand, since Hammer is a co-founder of dancejam.com - which he co-founded with an MIT Sloan colleague of ours, Geoffrey Arone, of Flock fame - I can’t help but think that Hammer legitimately knows all too well that analytics can make or break him.  No eyeballs = no money = no new gold lame. In short: no analytics = inability to get hype.
